the cultivation of aquatic population under a controlled environment.

Frontier Trout Ranch is a fresh, natural, Rocky Mountain, single-sourced, closed-water system fish farm. The design of a closed system allows for optimum control of a finished product.

In the entire United States, 70% to 75% of farm raised Trout are cultivated under a single watershed. Any parasite, caustic pollutant, and/or drought, could create havoc on aquatic production. Any radical reduction of food availability has a dramatic impact on market prices. This precipitates the need for a fresh, natural, Rocky Mountain, single-sourced water, closed system fish farm that is segregated from the corporate giants.

Located in the San Luis Valley of South-central Colorado, Frontier Trout Ranch LLC operates on a deep artesian well. This particular well has been adjudicated for aquaculture.

Amid state-of-the-art fish farming techniques, Frontier Trout Ranch LLC produces a superior fresh, natural, Rainbow, Cutthroat, German Brown, and Brook trout utilizing this finite water source. The operative word is recycling; recycling of water, energy, and the elimination of organic pollutants.

FTR produces high quality, fresh, natural, Rainbow, Cutthroat, German Brown and Brook trout for the discerning consumer. The farm is fed by an artisan well. Pure water rises from the ‘confined’ aquifer. This pure sourced water will be then fed into a closed-water system fish farm to assure purity of its products.

The design of a closed system allows for optimum control of a quality finished product. A quality product that is literally monitored from the egg to the dinner plate; thus, creating a fresh, natural, Rocky Mountain healthy food for the quality-conscious consumer.

Our Rainbow, Cutthroat, German Brown, and Brook trout beam with strength, size and hearty flavor. These are products the consumer can say with confidence…

"I know where my food comes from."
